1920's Asbury Park, NJ
The Sea Coast National Bank - Corner of Bond & Mattison.
Built in 1886 it is one of the oldest stone buildings in
the city. In keeping with the spirit of rejuvenation
embraced by the present day community, the owners, Bond
Street Partners LLC, in 2005, embarked on an ambitious
restoration/rehabilitation project.

In the Spring of 2005 Bond Street Restoration LLC, under
the guidance of
Joel Monesson began
the task of halting the degradation of exterior
architectural elements, and repairing the damage time, and
unwise application, of various surface treatments had
caused, to the structure.
The image below was taken in winter of 2009. All
plaster has been removed from the stone, and repairs made
where necessary. All joints in stone, brick, and terra
cotta have been raked and pointed, and the surface has
received a treatment of Keim Mineral Systems products that
will protect and preserve the vulnerable stone. |
