The Sea Coast National Bank - Corner of Bond & Mattison.

Built in 1886 it is one of the oldest stone buildings in the city.  In keeping with the spirit of rejuvenation embraced by the present day community, the owners, Bond Street Partners LLC, have embarked on an ambitious restoration/rehabilitation project.

In the Spring of 2005 Bond Street Restoration LLC, under the guidance of Joel Monesson  began the task of halting the degradation of exterior architectural elements, and repairing the damage time, and unwise application, of various surface treatments has caused, to the structure.  At this time, February 2010, 305 Bond Street/701 Mattison Avenue has the status of a continuing, open-ended work.

Monesson has a thirty-year history of working with traditional building materials, including stone, wood, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, masonry and historic mortars.  He describes himself as a sculptor, and has exhibited works in stone, wood, various metals, fiberglass, and ceramic.  His architectural projects have included residential and commercial works, both historic and modern, in wood, architectural stone, dimensional stone, tile, masonry, and terra cotta.  From 2002 - 2007, he served the needs of Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ, charged with the conservation and restoration of sculpture and historic masonry.  Georgian Court is listed on both the New Jersey and the National Registers of Historic and Landmark Sites.

Since the summer of 2007 he has committed himself full-time, to Bond Street Restoration, in all its many aspects.  The pages on this site present highlights, from his portfolio, of completed projects representing different facets, of his art produced over the years.
